All of our Abu Dhabi GRE prep offerings feature the most current methods of GRE instruction combined with convenience in location and scheduling. We understand that our students are busy people, and we therefore devote ourselves to effectively preparing them for the GRE in the least possible amount of time. Regardless of your educational goals or background, Manhattan Review has the GRE prep services that will meet your needs.
With over 655,000 annual test-takers, the GRE is the most widely used graduate admissions exam in the world. It is accepted or required for applicants to graduate programs in the arts and sciences, and it is increasingly considered for business school applications as well. The GRE is offered multiple times per year, at more than 700 testing centers in over 160 countries. The most current version of the GRE, first administered in 2011, includes sections on quantitative reasoning, verbal reasoning (each scored from 130 to 170), and analytical writing (scored from 0 to 6). Average scores are about 151 verbal, 152.5 quantitative, and around 4 analytical writing. Graduate schools use the GRE to screen applicants based on these averages. Generally speaking, a given institution's degree of selectivity is strongly related to the GRE scores of its accepted students, with the more highly ranked schools usually admitting students with better overall GRE performance.
Manhattan Review's GRE prep courses and private GRE tutoring teach our students how to exceed institutional and/or departmental averages, significantly increasing the odds of acceptance. To cite a few examples, our students have recently been accepted to Harvard Business School (average composite verbal and quantitative GRE scores of 326-330), graduate programs in the Psychology Department at UC Berkeley (average scores of 161 verbal, 161 quantitative, and 4.5 analytical writing), and graduate engineering degree offerings at Princeton University (averages of 161 verbal and 162 quantitative). Upon completion of their degrees, Manhattan Review's former GRE students have pursued careers in diverse fields. Some have been hired by Fortune 500 companies (including Bank of America, Proctor & Gamble, Dow Chemical, and Prudential Financial) and UAE organizations (such as Abu Dhabi Financial Group, Union National Bank, Advanced Technology Investment Company, and Lulu Hypermarket). Others have gone to work in education, civil service, philanthropy, or other public-sector fields. Bill put in a lot of outside hours preparing for class and answering questions throughout the week. He really tried his hardest to help us reach our goals. I really really appreciated how dedicated he was to helping us.

Meet an Abu Dhabi GRE Tutor: Jordan P.
Jordan P. is a GRE tutor and teacher at an Abu Dhabi secondary school for international students. Originally from Burlington, Vermont, Jordan holds a bachelor's degree in English literature from Brown University and a master's degree in history from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She now has ten years of overall teaching experience, including five years as a GRE prep tutor.
Jordan describes her GRE teaching philosophy as positive, flexible, and inclusive. "Encouragement and positive reinforcement get the best results for students," she says. "My experience has taught me that just about any student can see their scores benefit from GRE instruction that considers the individual student as both a learner and a person." Jordan is pleased to announce her engagement to an American graphic artist and educator. The couple is planning to get married in Italy next year, and they look forward to having a large family.
